Hey, F-2 was my childhood home. You shifted there after my father retired. I tell my grand daughter about all the trees my father planted there and the ones which were there before he started living there. The kalami mango tree was already there. He planted the langda mango tree and many more.

I grew up in Surajpur (1976-1987). I still kept going back there until like 1994 or so to visit my uncle who still lived there that time. Surajpur is my favorite place til date. Had the best time of my life there. Nothing beats it.

My husband Santosh s/o Sivasankaran stayed throughout his schooling ( Sacred Heart and NPS 18 ) 1970-80 and has unbelievably fond memories of Surajpur where he was closest to Mother Nature. Having stayed out of India for decades and having visited more than 30 countries, he still rates Surajpur one among the top places. It is unfortunate and saddening to hear about its present condition; can it be revived back to it days of glory ?...

Hi, feels so good to see this place. I stayed her in 1995/96 or so, some years before the plant shut down. I still remember the pathway to my house, we used to stay in the manager's quarters and there were shehtoot ke ped behind my house. I would eat the fruit with joy. I also remember the guesthouse and some great food they cooked. Is the school still functional?

Hi! I have some fond memories of staying at Bhupendra Cements Works township in 1985 for about 4 months. Everyday without fail I would go to the temple by crossing the railway track and pray for a son. The Amba Mata blessed me with a son who I named as Suraj. Can anyone tell me whether the temple just across the quarters still exists. Now my son is 27 years but I want to show the temple where I used to pray. Rekha E., Mumbai

We lived in this place from 1973 to 1986. It was a beautiful place. Visited few years back along with my children and visited the house F-2 where we used to live. The mango tree was still there.

I entered 2nd class when my dad got transferred to wadi( gulbarga) and eventually to katni (MP). I miss my school and 2 of my closest friends Priya Dhingra and Chirag shrivastava....its been 16 years since colony was shut down. i had been to school about a year back... guys it still stands thr alive..!! But ACC colony has turned into a forest, houses are still thr but competely abandoned ( probably monkeys and other animals stay in those houses(broken windows) ... forest officials stand thr.. and they do not allow you to drive after the school boundaries..... the main road ( which was cemented) is covered with thick green cover!! God .... pathetic condition..... i tried to search my home(G-7) ....bt couldn't.... thogh i was able to spot our principal's home... and ofcourse GM bunglow...... the place seemed to be haunted ..... :-( !! School wasn"t shutdown.. i discovered tht when i saw students comming out of it at 2 PM ...chutti time!!
